FINDR Privacy Policy
Last updated 15 September 2026. Responsible publisher account: Robin Lynch. Brand: Bluewhite Software. Contact: info@bluewhitesoftware.com.
What information is used?
You choose or take photos of objects. FINDR stores the photos, reports, your notes, and source links locally on your iPhone. Apple's Vision framework reads text and classifies the photo on the device. If you enable server AI yourself, the selected photo, recognized text, and local category are sent over HTTPS to FINDR's server and OpenAI to create a report. If server analysis is off, FINDR does not send the photo to this service.
Storage and deletion
Finds are stored in the app's private local storage and can be deleted in the app. Device backups may include app data under your iCloud settings. FINDR's server code does not intentionally store photos or reports. OpenAI may by default retain abuse-monitoring logs that include some content for up to 30 days; longer retention may be required by law. FINDR calls the Responses API with store:false, so reports are not saved as API application state. Our support and API hostname is hosted on Cloudflare through Sites; ordinary hosting/security request data may be processed by that provider.
Purchases and tracking
Any subscriptions are handled by Apple through StoreKit. FINDR receives verified entitlement status, not payment card details. For AI reports, our server verifies Apple-signed purchase data and stores the purchase original transaction ID, renewal-period ID, time, and report usage count in Cloudflare D1. These records limit unauthorized and unlimited AI calls; older usage records are cleared as the service is used. Contact us with questions about these records. FINDR does not use advertising identifiers or ad tracking. Source links open external services with their own privacy policies.
